19 Jun Press Release – Pediatric Orthopedic Therapy Services Ribbon Cutting
Western North Carolina families will soon have one more reason to appreciate Carolina Pediatric Therapy. Already well-respected for its comprehensive range of therapeutic options, the clinic today announced that it has renovated and expanded its Hendersonville location, in order to offer orthopedic services to kids in the Hendersonville and Asheville area.
2500 square feet of extra space was added to the Hendersonville clinic in order to accommodate the new orthopedic treatment area. The area features equipment, and boasts a staff of highly skilled orthopedic clinicians who specialize in treating a wide range of congenital, developmental and injury-related problems, including prematurity complications; Down Syndrome complications; cerebral palsy; scoliosis; obesity; and sports injuries, to name a few.
To commemorate the clinic’s expansion, the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Hendersonville location on June 30th at 12:00 PM. Local residents are encouraged to come out and show their support for Carolina Pediatric Therapy, and for the kids in the community who will benefit from the expanded services.
The Hendersonville expansion is in keeping with Carolina Pediatric Therapy’s commitment to the local community, and to finding the best, most comprehensive ways to serve western North Carolina families. The practice treats children from birth to age 21, and specializes in a wide range of behavioral, physical and play therapies. Over its 15-year existence, the practice has grown to span 18 counties and feature 80 highly qualified therapists.
The orthopedic specialists at the Hendersonville location will join a team that includes highly qualified occupational, physical, and speech therapists; a clinical psychologist; and licensed professional counselors, furthering the clinic’s goal of providing comprehensive care to the widest possible.
In addition to individualized therapy services, the Hendersonville office also provides outreach services to local communities. They have recently expanded their outreach program to focus on supporting Hispanic families as they navigate the process of having a child with special needs.
Carolina Pediatrics is delighted to expand their services and grow their team. They are also grateful for the opportunity to serve even more western North Carolina children with therapy needs. As occupational therapist and clinical director of outpatient specialized therapies Nicole Newell, MS, OTR/L notes, “The team of therapists we have here are more than just colleagues. We are a family. We work together, with our clients and their families, to change lives. And we celebrate our patients’ accomplishments together. Recently, we helped a 7-year-old child walk again. Adding team members, equipment, space, and resources to our clinic ensure that even more children can have that same possibility of success. It’s truly exciting, and truly gratifying.”
