Cheryl teaches educators, tutors, or homeschool parents in applying the principles of Orton-Gillingham.
Cheryl will be instructing in multisensory procedures and strategies for instruction within the classroom.
Includes textbooks & AOGPE Online Subscriber Course. $100 Deposit Required. Full balance by July 22, 2016

The Training Course is a 30-hour overview course designed to support classroom educators, tutors, or homeschool parents in applying the principles of Orton-Gillingham and the structure of the English language to their reading and writing programs.
With the completion of an additional 50-hour practicum, trainees will be eligible to apply to the Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE) for certification at the Classroom Educator level, or continue with Part 2 of the Associate Level Training.
Multisensory Instruction is a simultaneous and alternative use of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile sensory modalities that supports the connection of oral language with visual language symbol. Course participants will be instructed in multisensory procedures and strategies for instruction within the classroom.
Multisensory instruction influences learning and is beneficial for all students. It will allow for optimal learning experiences for students of all learning profiles. These multisensory strategies can be implemented in all areas of the general education curriculum and will promote engagement and help create authentic learning pathways for long term learning memory.
Cost of Training Course: $675 (includes textbooks & AOGPE Online Subscriber Course) (completion of Online course will allow trainees to obtain Subscriber Membership in Academy of Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators).
Deposit of $100 due by July 5, 2016 along with Online Registration form
Balance due: July 22, 2016
A supervised practicum is available upon conclusion of course work to obtain a Classroom Educator certificate from the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators for an additional cost. Practicum must be completed in order to receive this designation. Practicum is not mandatory.
