Written by Dairen Wilcox | Apr 30, 2020 8:45:29 PM

What is tele-therapy? Tele-therapy is face-to-face evaluation and treatment provided through a secure audio-video, web-based meeting space. Tele-therapy is sometimes referred to as virtual, tele-practice, or tele-health delivery.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, our team made a fast pivot to continue care to children and families through the use of tele-therapy. We are finding it to be a very effective way to deliver care and are seeing great results! Parents and children are engaging in their care in new and remarkable ways from the convenience and safety of their own homes.

Do you have questions about tele-therapy?

What will a tele-therapy session be like? What activities will the therapist do to keep my child engaged and learning? How can I help my child be successful in their sessions?

In this interview series, we answer many of your questions about therapy delivered through tele-health. Our founder, Dr. Summer McMurry, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, discusses this topic with members of our licensed clinical team. They will give you a glimpse into what you can expect in tele-therapy sessions.
