    At Carolina Pediatric Therapy, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents ages 2 years 6 months to 17 years. Our evaluations are designed to better understand your child’s unique strengths and weaknesses through exploring their cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning.

    Whether you’re looking for answers around developmental delays, school challenges, social concerns, or potential diagnoses, our licensed professionals use gold-standard tools and clinical expertise to provide helpful insights and clear recommendations.

    📦 Psychological Testing Packages

    We offer three traditional primary testing pathways as well as an option for a more unique and tailored approach to understanding how your child thinks, learns, or behaves. 

    🔹 Base Psychological Testing

    Our Base Psychological Testing can help evaluate:

    • Cognitive abilities (IQ)
    • Attention and executive functioning
    • Social/emotional and adaptive functioning


      Referral reasons may include:

    • ADHD
    • Anxiety or Depression
    • Oppositional behaviors
    • Intellectual or Developmental Delays

    Base Testing Includes:

    • Review of background and medical history
    • Standardized testing by a licensed psychologist or psychological associate
    • Behavior rating forms from caregivers and academic staff
    • Clinical diagnosis (if criteria are met)
    • Comprehensive written report
    • Feedback session to explain results and recommendations


      Typical Schedule:

    • This type of testing usually requires 3 appointments (Intake [typically virtual], Testing [in person at one of our clinics], Feedback [typically virtual])

      Billing Options:

    • We work with insurance and offer self-pay rates.
                    - Self-pay rate: $1,750 (includes enrollment fee; full payment due at scheduling) We work with insurance and offer self-pay rates. 
     🔹Autism Spectrum Evaluation
    Our Autism Testing Package includes:
    • Everything in Base Testing
    • ADOS-2 assessment (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)
    • Evaluations from Speech and Occupational Therapy, if indicated

      Referral reasons may include:
    • Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder concerns
    • Social delays or challenges
    • Sensory processing issues

    Typical Schedule:

    • This type of testing usually requires 4 appointments (Intake, Testing, ADOS-2, Feedback) and can be scheduled with multiple providers. We take a team approach when possible when assessing for Autism to ensure that more than one Provider is considering the child’s abilities, strengths, and needs.

    Billing Options:

    • We work with insurance and offer self-pay rates.
              - Self-pay rate: $2000
                   - Includes enrollment fee and additional evaluations
                   - Additional hourly charges may apply if extended time is needed
    🔹 Achievement or Learning Testing Packages

    If you're seeking insight into your child’s academic skills or suspect a learning disorder, we offer optional Achievement Testing Add-ons. These add-on packages supplement our base testing in order to provide you with more information about your child’s academic or achievement abilities.
