In The Know

As the beautiful Fall season is approaching, a lot of fun activities are available. From apple orchards to corn mazes it’s fun to explore the Asheville area with your kiddos.

Hendersonville, NC is the home to a lovely apple orchard called “Sky Top Orchard” General admission is FREE. They have many activities to keep your little “busy bodies” happy. Plan for your child to wear comfortable shoes and play clothes that you don’t mind them getting a little mud on. They have a huge playground full of swings, playhouses, ladders and slides. (Parents can enjoy an apple slushy or fresh apple donut while watching the kids explore.) After playing on the playground you can head over to the bamboo forest. My little one loves going in and pretending he’s on a “bear hunt”. They also have a petting zoo full of adorable little furry creatures awaiting a back-rub. I always take extra hand sanitizer to make sure we keep clean hands. We save picking apples until last so we don’t have to tote them around. Whether you want to go let your kids just play around or go pick apples, this is an adventure you must do this Fall. For more details visit:

They also have slides, corn pits, hayrides, food, live music etc. This is a family fun event you don’t want to miss.
